2016 Disney Day 4 – Animal Kingdom
Today, Grandma and Grandpa entertained themselves while we headed to Animal Kingdom.
The first thing we did was the Kilimanjaro Safari, where we rode around in a huge truck through the nature preserve on the grounds. There were lots of animals out that day.
We saw the Festival of the Lion King, which was pretty neat. We also did a couple meet-and-greets with Baloo and King Louie in addition to Pocahontas and Meeko.
The picture of the tree is The Tree of Life, which is located on the central island in Animal Kingdom. If you look closely, you’ll see animals sculpted into it’s trunk. At the base of the tree is the attraction A Bugs Life. It’s a 3D/4D film that’s pretty intense. They blow fans and smoke when the grasshopper sprays the audience with bug spray. The signs stating that it might freak kids out are warranted, although it didn’t phase our girls.
When we got to our room, the house keeper put an added touch on the girls’ blankets and stuffed animals. Just one of those extra touches you won’t get at Super 8.
