2016 Disney Day 1 – Arriving
After a nice non-stop flight from Milwaukee, WI to Orlando, FL we arrived at our resort at Walt Disney World – Art of Animation. The attention to detail with the resort was amazing. Bright colors everywhere, bigger than life characters, and the themes were carried through even the landscaping to tell the story of the movie the resort was based upon.
We stayed at one of the three Under the Sea buildings, which is Little Mermaid based. Art of Animation resort also had Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Cars themed resorts. The Lion King theme was located between our building and the main resort building that had the cafeteria and bus pick-up for transportation, which is why there is some Lion King stuff thrown in there.
They even have a 1.3 mi. loop around the pond separating Art of Animation resort from the Pop Century resort, which I took advantage of when the weather cooperated in the morning.
We all slept well after the day of traveling.
